Yes, we are talking about Kareena Kapoor, Lovingly called Bebo, daughter of Babita and Randhir Kapoor, who was the famous acting couple in there times . Kareena is the forth generation of Kapoor family.
Kareena was born in Mumbai on 21st September, 1980. Her elder sister is very famous and successful actress Karisma Kapoor, who is now married and has a baby girl. In her very early childhood, her parent starts living apart from each other.
Kareena never wants to enter in bollywood , she had always wanted to pursue her law but no one knows about destiny, which had other plans for her. She debuted with the J.P. Dutta’s “Refugee” in 2000 opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Though the film didn’t click in cinemas but Kareena was noticed as Karisma’s younger sister.
In her early stages of bollywood, many films of her didn’t click but she never loose her confidence as she was determined to show this industry that acting runs in her blood. From the beginning of her career she was very choosey for films. She always wanted good scripts with which she can show her versatility and fortunately she got good offers.
Though many of her films like “Asoka” “Yaadein” and “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai”did not do great job at box office. But everyone noticed her talent and beauty in these movies. Kareena did not want her image is of star only; she always wanted to be noticed as a good and talented actress. That’s why she did not start with “masala movies” like her sister karisma had. And wait for good scripts.
After her movie “chameli”,kareena surprised everybody in the bollywood .Acting as a prostitute in this movie she swept the critics off their feet. She captured lots of recognition and praise for her acting. Then everybody started taking this focused girl seriously.
Movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, Aitraaz, 36 China Town, omkara and jab we met gave Kareena’s career new heights. She had now established her image as a talented, versatile and successful actress.
This 5’5” blue eyed girl is currently dating saif ali khan after her breakup with Shahid Kapoor, son of Pankaj Kapoor. She loves watching old movies, reading books and swimming.
