IMPPA awards function organized in Mumbai recently and many film celebrities attended this very special occasion. Rekha got very special attention from media and she was honoured with IMPPA award.This actress rarely came for receiving the awards for her contribution in the bollywood,. But her presence itself said her excitement for the function.
While accepting the IMPPA award, Rekha said, “This IMPPA award is just like a dream in her career although she has got many awards in her career, including National Award. It is special because she got this award from her own club.
She further added that the reason for her excitement for the award was her producers, to whom she always kept in high esteem.
The group of producers honoured Rekha for her great contribution to the film industry. IMPPA also awarded director Madhur Bhandarkar and producers Prakash Mehra and Surinder Kapoor (who is the father of Anil Kapoor).Bhushan kumar of T.Series got the producer of the year award. Karzzzz which is the next release of Kumar will be on screen next week.
Director Bimal Roy who has directed great movies like Do Bigha Zammen, Madhumati and Bandini, was also honored posthumously.
