IIFA 2008 belongs to Shah Rukh Khan Starrer ‘Chak De India’

The IIFA 2008 had been completed this Sunday and this three day grand affair of IIFA celebrated very happily and in this award function many celebrities came to enjoy this event and this year event was arranged at Thai capital.In this awards function, one important award which is for the best debut has been gone to real life love couple Deepika Padukone and Ranbir kapoor.

This event started with technical awards and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om ruled in this category by taking most of the awards which includes the awards for best art direction-Sabu Cyril, Best special effects-Red Chillies Entertainment, best costume designe- Manish Malhotra, karan Johar and Sanjeev Mulchandani and this film also got the award for best make –up.

Mani Ratnam’s GURU got the awards for best background which goes to AR Rahman and best song recording which goes to H Sridhar. The award for best screenplay is shared by Anurag Basu from Life In A Metro and Jaideep Sahni from Chak De India.

Chak De India rules the award function by taking the top category awards as the Best Film goes to Chak De India, Best director to the Shimit Amin of Chak De India and Most important best actor to Shah Rukh Khan for Chak De India. Jab We Met won the awards for best dialogue writer which goes to Imtiyaz Ali and best actress which goes to gorgeous Kareena Kapoor.

The bad news in the event was that Aamir khan had not given his first film as a director Taare Zameen Par for these awards.
