As we all know Salman Khan will not attend the IIFA just because, in IIFA there is a performance from Katrina with Akshay Kumar so Salman preferred to skip that function. Now there is one other star who is not attending the awards function. its Shahid Kapoor.the reason for his absence is Kareena Kapoor. After a long relationship between Shahid and Kareena finally they sepereated from each other. This disturbed Shahid very much.Year 2008 is good for Kareena because she got the best actress award almost in every award function for her film Jab We Met and she is expecting the same from the IIFA function also.

Shahid want to avoid Kareena so he will not be attending the function and the reports says she will be performing with her boyfriend saif Ali Khan on the hit songs of Jab We Met. Kareena got the awards for Jab We Met even Shahid too is also the part of the movie. This may also be the reason for not attending the IIFA.
